Preparation steps

1.

For the filling: Cut the pears and apples into quarters. Peel and remove the core. Cut the fruit into pieces. Grease a baking dish with oil, about 30 x 25 cm (approximately 12 x 10 inches). Place the fruit in the dish and mix with lemon juice and vanilla sugar. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C (approximately 400°F) for about 45 minutes. Mash the fruit with a potato masher and let cool.

2.

For the pastry: Place the flour in a bowl and mix with the butter, quark, and water. Chop through everything with a knife until crumbly. Quickly knead by hand until smooth. Roll out the dough on a lightly floured work surface until thin.

3.

Grease a tart pan, about 26-28 cm (approximately 10-11 inches). Line with the pastry dough. Prick several times with a fork. Chill for about 1 hour.

4.

Crumble half of the Amaretto cookies roughly. Mix with the fruit and spread in the tart. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C (approximately 400°F) for about 25 minutes. Rinse the grapes, cut in half, and spread over the tart. Bake for another 5 minutes. Let cool. Sprinkle the remaining cookies on the tart.
