1 tsp fennel seeds

150 grams Mountain cheese (such as South Tyrol Stelvio)
1 small Fennel
1 Tbsp Hazelnuts

Preparation steps

1.

Rinse the apples, halve and scoop out the cores with a melon baller. Simmer the white wine, mustard seeds, fennel seeds and salt for about 5 minutes. Add the apple halves and simmer until tender.

Remove the apples from the wine broth and place in a baking dish. Pour in some of the wine broth. Cut the cheese into pieces and sprinkle over the apples. Grill briefly in the oven until the cheese begins to melt.

3.

Rinse and finely chop the fennel. Chop the hazelnuts. Serve the apples sprinkled with fennel and hazelnuts.
