- 1 ⅛ cups butter (melted)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 ⅔ cups self-rising flour
- 5 cups Apple (e. g. Bramley, Granny Smith)
- 1 Tbsp lemon juice
- 3 Victoria Plum (stones removed)

1 Cutting board, 1 Small knife, 1 Citrus juicer, 1 Tablespoon, 1 Measuring cups, 1 Pot, 1 Whisk, 1 Blender, 1 ice cream scoop, 1 flache Stainless steel bowl
Preparation steps
1.
Heat the oven to 180°C (160° fan) 350°F gas 4. Grease a 25 cm round cake tin and dust lightly with flour.
2.
Whisk the eggs with 200g sugar in a mixing bowl until thick and pale. Whisk in the butter and vanilla until blended.
3.
Sift in the flour and gently fold into the mixture, until incorporated.

Pour the mixture into the cake tin.
5.
Peel and core the apples and cut into wedges. Sprinkle with lemon juice and the remaining sugar.
6.
Arrange the apples in circles on the cake mixture.
7.
Halve or quarter the plums, depending on size and arrange in a circle, skin side down, in the centre of the tin.
8.
Bake for 30-40 minutes until golden. Test by inserting a skewer into the cake- it should come out clean.
9.
Cool in the tin for 10 minutes, then sift icing sugar over the cake. Best eaten warm.
