120 grams Cultured butter (at room temperature)
50 grams sugar
2 sm packages Vanilla sugar (15 grams)
salt
4 eggs
200 grams Pastry flour
1 tsp Baking powder
150 milliliters Buttermilk
2 tsps Canola oil
250 grams Strawberries
2 Tbsps powdered sugar (20 grams)
2 Tbsps Apple juice
1 Tbsp Orange juice
1 tsp lemon juice

Preparation steps

1.

Beat the butter with sugar, vanilla sugar and salt until creamy. Gradually add the eggs one at a time and beat until the mixture is frothy.

Mix the flour with baking powder, and add the beaten egg alternately with the buttermilk, until the batter is combined but not too thick.

Heat a waffle iron, grease with oil and pour in the batter to make 12 small, golden brown waffles. (Keep waffles warm at the lowest heat in the oven, if desired.)

4.

Meanwhile, rinse the strawberries, drain well and trim.

5.

Boil the powdered sugar with the apple juice, orange juice and lemon juice in a pan and let cool slightly. Soak the strawberries in it and serve with the waffles.
