- For the waffles
- 125 grams softened butter
- 125 grams sugar
- 3 eggs
- 120 grams Pastry flour
- 1 tsp Baking powder
- 50 grams ground almonds
- butter (for the waffle iron)
- For the cream
- 250 grams Quark
- 2 Tbsps Vanilla sugar
- 1 fresh Orange (juiced and zested)
- 2 centiliters Orange liqueur
- 200 milliliters Whipped cream
- For garnishing
- Orange zest
- Oranges
- mint

Preparation steps
1.
For the waffles: beat butter with sugar until creamy, gradually add eggs and beat until fluffy. Combine flour with almonds, add to butter mixture.
2.
For the cream: combine quark with sugar, orange zest and juice and liqueur. Mix until smooth and add whipped cream.
3.
Butter waffle iron with a little butter and place 1-2 tablespoons of batter into the middle. Prepare waffles, one at a time, until golden brown.
4.
Cut waffles into quarters and spread with cream. Continue stacking waffles and cream until all ingredients are used. Garnish with orange zest, orange fillets and mint. Serve.
