½ cup powdered sugar
¼ tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 egg white
1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
¼ cup Corn starch
5 ozs chocolate Nougat
¾ cup chopped semi-sweet chocolate

1 Tablespoon, 1 Teaspoon, 1 Small knife, 1 Large knife, 1 Cutting board, 1 große Bowl, 1 Small bowl, 1 Salad spinner, 1 Mortar, 1 Citrus juicer

Preparation steps

1.
Heat the oven to 200°C (180° fan) 400°F gas 6. Line a baking tray with non-stick baking paper.

Beat the butter with the sugar, salt and vanilla in a mixing bowl. Add the egg white. Stir until blended.

Sift in the flour and cornflour and stir well.
4.
Put the mixture into a piping bag with a star nozzle about 10 mm diameter. Pipe rounds onto the baking tray.

Bake for oven 8-12 minutes, until golden. Cool on the baking trays for a few minutes, then place on a wire rack to cool completely.
6.
Melt the nougat in a heatproof bowl over a pan of simmering (not boiling) water.
7.
Spread half the cookies with the noughat and place another cookie on top.
8.
Melt the chocolate as for the nougat and dip the cookies in the chocolate to come 1/3 of the way up. Place on non-stick baking paper and leave to set.
