For the cherries
300 grams Cherries
For the chocolate pudding
200 milliliters milk
2 Tbsps cocoa powder
1 egg yolk
2 Tbsps sugar
15 grams cornstarch
1 pinch salt
For the vanilla pudding
250 milliliters milk
½ Vanilla bean
1 egg yolk
2 Tbsps sugar
15 grams cornstarch
1 pinch salt

Preparation steps

For the chocolate pudding: Bring the milk to a boil. Stir in the cocoa powder and remove from the heat. Whisk the egg yolks and sugar until creamy then mix in the cornstarch and salt. Slowly stir the hot milk into the egg yolk mixture, return everything back to the pot and stir over low heat until the cream thickens. Remove from the heat and divide between 4 serving glasses.

For the cherries: Rinse, pit and halve the cherries. Distribute 3/4 of the cherries between the glasses.

For the vanilla pudding: Cut the vanilla bean pod in half lengthwise and bring to a boil with the milk in a saucepan. Remove from the heat and strain. Whisk the egg yolks and sugar until creamy then mix in the cornstarch and salt. Slowly whisk in the warm vanilla milk then return everything to the pot and stir until thickened. Pour over the cherries in the glasses, sprinkle with the remaining cherries and serve cooled.
