1 packet Vanilla sugar
1 Tbsp lemon juice

Preparation steps

With a sharp knife, cut a small "x" in the bottom of each chestnut. Cook chesnuts in lightly salted, boiling water until tender, about 40 minutes. Drain. While still warm, remove shells and inner brown skins from chesnuts. Puree chesnuts in a blender until smooth and let cool. Stir in butter, sugar, vanilla sugar and lemon juice.

Store chesnut-cream in the refrigerator up to 1 week. Serve with bread, if desired.
