- 4 prebaked White rolls
- 1 onion
- 2 garlic cloves
- 120 milliliters Diced tomatoes (sliced)
- cayenne pepper
- salt
- peppers
- 1 tsp Italian Fresh herbs
- 2 Tbsps olive oil
- 3 Tbsps Crème fraiche
- scallions (to garnish)
- 80 grams Gouda (sliced)
- 8 Tomatoes (halved according to size)
Preparation steps

Slice the rolls in half and scrape out the soft dough from the center. Peel and finely chop the onions and garlic and fry until soft in some oil.

Add the tomatoes and continue cooking until the liquid has evaporated. Season with salt, pepper, cayenne pepper and herbs. Stir in the crème fraiche and spoon the mixture into the buns.

Place a slice of cheese on top followed by a slice of tomato.
Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C (approximately 400ºF) until the cheese is melted.
Serve garnished with chopped chives.
