Preparation steps

Toast the bread until slightly crispy and allow to cool slightly. Rinse the strawberries and remove the greens. Cut into slices. Rinse the basil, shake dry, and pluck the leaves. Whisk together the balsamic oil, mustard, salt, pepper, and sugar. Season with salt and pepper. Brush the bread with cream cheese and top with the strawberries and basil. Serve drizzled with the balsamic dressing.
