Preparation steps

1.

Mix the hoisin sauce with the soy sauce and the sesame oil. Rinse, trim, and thinly slice the scallions. Peel and slice the garlic. Peel and finely dice the ginger.

2.

Rinse the broccoli, then separate into florets. Halve the larger florets, if necessary. Rinse the steaks and pat dry. Trim any thick layers of fat, then cut into thin slices.

3.

Heat the soybean oil in a wok. Sear the beef in 2-3 batches, then remove from the wok and set aside. Add the garlic and ginger to the wok. Stir-fry briefly, then add the scallions and broccoli. Continue to cook for another 2 minutes, then add the lime juice and 4-5 tablespoons of water. Cook another 4 minutes, then return the beef to the wok. Mix in the sauce and stir-fry until everything is well coated. Season to taste with soy sauce and lime juice. Arrange in bowls, garnish with the sesame seeds, and serve.
