Preparation steps

1.
Brush the steaks with the oil and cook on both sides on a barbecue (not too hot) for 3-5 minutes, depending how well done you like them. Remove from the barbecue, season with salt and pepper and serve immediately.

At the same time, heat the oil and fry the chips until nicely browned. Drain well on kitchen roll. Season lightly with salt and put on wooden platters with the steaks.
3.
Add half a tomato and a little watercress to each portion. Sprinkle with pepper and serve.
