Spinach and Ham Lasagna with Crunchy Cereal Crust

- 250 grams Lasagne noodle
- 1 kilogram Spinach
- 1 onion (finely chopped)
- 2 garlic cloves (finely chopped)
- 70 grams ham (diced)
- 200 grams cream cheese
- 150 grams Crème fraiche
- salt
- freshly ground peppers
- Nutmeg (freshly grated)
- 150 grams mature Mountain cheese (freshly grated)
- 4 Tbsps Corn flakes
- butter
Preparation steps
Preheat the oven to 180°C (approximately 350ºF).
Rinse and trim the spinach and blanch in a large saucepan over medium heat. Drain the spinach well and chop.
Cook the lasagna in boiling salted water until al dente. Lift out with a slotted spoon and drain on kitchen towels.
Sauté the onion and garlic in some butter, add the spinach and sauté for about 3 minutes. Stir in the ham and season with salt and pepper.
For the cheese sauce, melt the cream cheese and creme fraiche in a saucepan and season with salt, pepper and nutmeg. Stir in 2 tablespoons of mountain cheese.
Grease a baking dish with butter. Layer the lasagna, cheese sauce and spinach alternately in the dish. Top with cheese sauce and shower with the remaining cheese.
Bake for 20 minutes.
Serve showered with corn flakes.
