- 3 Tbsps Oil
- 1 onion (chopped)
- 1 stick Celery (chopped)
- 1 clove garlic cloves (chopped)
- 2 red chili peppers (deseeded and chopped)
- 2 tsps paprika
- 1 carrot (chopped)
- 1 cup Red lentils (washed)
- 1 cup vegetable stock
- 4 cups canned Tomatoes (chopped)
- 1 Tbsp chopped parsley
- 1 Tbsp chopped thyme
- fried, king shrimp (to serve)

1 Non-stick pan, 1 Wooden spoon, 2 Bowls, 1 Plate, 1 Tablespoon, 1 Citrus juicer, 1 Cutting board, 1 Large knife, 1 Peeler
Preparation steps

Heat the oil in a large pan and gently cook the onion and celery until soft but not brown.

Add the garlic and the chillis, cook for 1 minute then add the paprika and stir well.
3.
Add the carrot and lentils, stir for 1 minute then add the stock and tomatoes. Season with salt and pepper, bring to a boil then simmer gently for 20 minutes.
4.
Stir in the parsley, reserving a little to garnish, and the thyme. Check the seasoning and serve garnished with the remaining parsley and a fried king prawn skewer alongside.
