- For the ham
- 1 ½ kilograms salted ham (uncooked, available at the butcher)
- 2 bay leaves
- 4 tsps cloves
- 1 tsp allspice
- 1 tsp marjoram (dried)
- 1 tsp rosemary (dried)

- heavy-duty Aluminum foil
- fresh Chervil
Preparation steps

Place ham on a large piece of aluminum foil. Grind spices in a mortar and pestle. Rub ham with spices on all sides and wrap tightly with foil.

Place ham on a baking sheet and bake in an oven preheated to 200°C (approximately 400°F), about 1 hour and 15 minutes. Remove from oven and let cool in the foil. To serve, cut into slices, transfer to a platter and sprinkle with fresh chervil.
