- 3 cups white Bread flour
- 1 ½ tsps salt
- 2 tsps superfine caster sugar
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 pinch ground cloves (optional)
- 1 Tbsp honey
- 1 ¼ tsps active dry yeast
- 2 Tbsps vegetable oil
- 1 ⅛ cups warm water
- ⅔ cup Apple (peeled, cored and finely chopped)

Preparation steps
1.
Mix the flour, salt, sugar, spices, honey and yeast in a bowl. Add the oil then gradually mix in enough water to make a soft dough.

Knead on a floured surface for 5 minutes until smooth and elastic. Work in the apples. Tip back into the bowl, cover loosely and leave in a warm place to rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.

Place on a greased baking tray, cover loosely and leave in a warm place for 30 minutes or until doubled in size.

Preheat the oven to 200°C (180 fan) | 400°F | gas 6.
5.
Remove the covering and bake for 30 minutes or until the loaf has browned and sounds hollow when tapped. Remove from the tin and transfer to a wire rack to cool.
