Preparation steps
1.
Divide the butter between four microwaveable mugs. Cook on high for 1 minute or until melted.
2.
Divide the grounds spices between the mugs, stirring into the melted butter. Return to the microwave and cook on high for 10 seconds.
3.
Remove from the microwave and divide the potato and haddock between the mugs. Top up with the milk, stirring well.
4.
Return to the microwave, cover, and cook on high for 6 - 8 minutes, until the fish is cooked through and the potato is tender.
5.
Carefully remove the mugs from the microwave, taking out a couple of tablespoons of the cooked haddock for a garnish. Use an immersion blender to puree the soups in the mugs, seasoning them to taste.
6.
Serve with the reserved haddock, a drizzle of cream, and some chopped chives on top.
