- 12 ozs gluten-free puff pastry
- 1 egg (beaten)
- 1 eating Apple (sliced)
- ½ Tbsp lemon juice
- 1 pinch salt
- 2 Tbsps butter (melted)
- 2 Tbsps honey
- ¾ cup livarot cheese (sliced)
- Cumin
Preparation steps
1.
Line a large baking tray with non-stick baking paper.

Roll out the puff pastry thinly between 2 sheets of non-stick baking paper. Cut out 8 rounds, about 10cm|4" diameter.

Place on the baking tray and score a border 1cm|1/2" from the edges with a sharp knife, but don't cut right through the pastry. Lightly prick the middle area with a fork and brush with beaten egg.

Cover with cling film and chill for 1 hour.

Heat the oven to 190°C (170° fan) 375°F gas 5.

Toss the apple slices in the lemon juice, and salt. Arrange on the pastry bases.
7.
Mix together the butter and honey and drizzle over the apples.
8.
Place the cheese on top of the apples. Sprinkle with cumin seeds.
9.
Bake for 20-30 minutes until the the apples are tender and the pastry is golden.
