5 cups Kohlrabi (peeled and sliced or grated)
1.333 cups cream (at least 30% fat)
2 Tbsps Crème fraiche
2 eggs
1 ½ cups Gruyere (grated)
1 garlic clove (crushed)
Nutmeg

Preparation steps

1.
Heat the oven to 200°C (180°C in a fan oven), 400°F, gas 6 and grease 6-8 ramekins.
2.
Place the kohlrabi slices in the ramekins. Mix together the cream, creme fraiche, eggs, half the cheese and the garlic. Season well with salt, ground black pepper and nutmeg.
3.
Pour the mixture over the kohlrabi so that it is just covered. Sprinkle the remaining cheese on top and bake in the oven for 30 minutes until golden brown.
