200 grams Arborio rice
500 milliliters milk
3 Tbsps sugar
1 packet Vanilla sugar
3 Tbsps lemon juice
2 tsps grated Lemon peel
3 tart Russet apples
½ tsp cinnamon

Preparation steps

1.

Combine rice with milk, lemon zest, 2 tablespoons of sugar and vanilla sugar and bring to a boil. Lower heat to the lowest point and simmer, covered, for about 35 minutes. Let stand.

Peel two apples, quarter and core. Cut into thin slices. Mix with lemon juice, 1 tablespoon of sugar and cinnamon. Let stand.

3.

Alternatively layer rice pudding and apple slices in a serving bowl, finishing with a rice layer. Cool for 2-3 hours. Invert onto a serving plate, Rinse, dry and core remaining apple. Thinly slice. garnish rice pudding with apple slices and serve.
