8 small dried mushrooms or Tongu shiitake mushrooms (or fresh shiitake mushrooms)
200 grams Long grain rice (parboiled)
salt
freshly ground peppers
250 grams Beef fillet
1 stalk Celery
1 red Bell pepper
2 smaller Leeks
2 chili peppers
2 Tbsps sesame oil
1 generous pinch Turmeric

Preparation steps

1.

Soak dried mushrooms for 1 hour in water.

2.

Cook rice according to package instructions.

3.

Cut beef into strips.

4.

Rinse celery, trim and cut into thin sticks.

5.

Rinse bell pepper, trim, remove seeds and cut into 5 cm (approximately 2-inch) long strips.

6.

Rinse leeks, trim and cut diagonally into rings.

7.

Slice the mushrooms.

8.

Rinse chile peppers, remove seeds and cut into thin rings.

9.

Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a skillet and cook meat briefly. Remove and set aside.

10.

Sauté vegetables (except chile peppers) in remaining oil in the skillet briefly, add some water and salt to taste, cover and some cook until al dente. Season with pepper.

11.

Mix rice with turmeric so that it is slightly yellow. Stir rice into skillet with vegetables and meat. Serve garnished with chile pepper rings.
