- 11 ozs ham (diced)
- 2 Leeks (sliced)
- 1 clove garlic cloves (finely chopped)
- 1 cup cream (48% fat)
- 1 cup grated Emmentaler cheese
- 4 eggs
- salt
- peppers
- grated Nutmeg
- 14 ozs Puff pastry
- To finish
- 1 egg (beaten)

1 Cutting board, 1 Large knife, 1 Bowl, 1 Peeler, 1 Fork, 1 Tablespoon, 1 Teaspoon, 1 Measuring cups
Preparation steps
1.
Heat the butter in a pan and cook the ham, leek and garlic until the leek and garlic are soft. Remove from the heat and set aside to cool.

Mix together the cream, cheese and whole eggs and season well with salt, pepper and nutmeg.
3.
Heat the oven to 180°C (160° fan) 350°F gas 4. Grease a deep flan or pie dish.

Roll out the pastry and use 2/3 to line the dish.
5.
Put the ham filling on the base and pour in the cream mixture.
6.
Cut out a pastry lid to fit the top of the dish. Brush the rim of the pastry case with some of the beaten egg and place the pastry lid on top of the pie. Trim off any excess pastry. Seal the pastry lid to the pastry case by crimping the edges of the pastry lid with a fork.
7.
Brush with the remaining egg and bake for about 40 minutes until golden brown and risen.
