Preparation steps

Peel the red onions. Cut 1 onion into thin rings, chop the other onion finely. Grate beet on a box grater and mix with the ground pork and diced onion. Shape into 4 flat patties.

Rinse the tomatoes and cut into slices. Rinse the asparagus, peel the bottom third and cut stalks into 1 cm (approximately 1/2 inch) diagonal slices. Cook in salted boiling water for 8-10 minutes. Meanwhile melt butter and canola oil in a pan and fry the patties on both sides for about 10 minutes over medium heat. Season with salt and pepper.

Slice rolls in half and place a patty on the bottom half of each roll. Arrange burgers on plates and arrange the drained asparagus alongside the burgers. Top patties with tomato slices and onion rings. Garnish with lettuce leaves.
