Polenta with Mushrooms
Ingredients
- For the mushrooms
- 400 grams button Mushroom
- 2 Tbsps Pastry flour
- 2 sprigs Sage
- 2 Tbsps vegetable oil (for frying)
- For the polenta
- 1 garlic clove (peeled)
- salt
- peppers
- 200 grams Polenta flour
- vegetable oil (for frying)
Preparation steps
For the polenta: Cook the polenta according to the package instructions. Pull the pan from the heat add 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Add garlic, season with salt and pepper and stir. Pour the hot polenta on a smooth work surface or on a baking sheet and spread it out about 1-1.5 cm (approximately half an inch) thick with a moistened spatula. Cover with a kitchen towel and let it cool completely.
For the mushrooms: Clean the mushrooms cut into slices. In a pan, heat up the oil and add the mushrooms. Sprinkle with flour and cook for around 2-4 minutes. Chop and add the sage and cook briefly.
Cut the polenta in triangles and fry in a pan with hot oil until it turns golden brown on both sides. Place on a plate and pour the mushrooms on top. If you desire, serve garnished with sage. Enjoy!
