- 3 ⅓ cups white Bread flour
- 1 ½ tsps active dry yeast
- 1 Tbsp honey
- 1 Tbsp butter
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 ½ cups warm milk
- 4 Tbsps Poppy seeds

Preparation steps
1.
Mix together the flour, yeast, sugar and salt in a bowl, then stir in the milk gradually with the butter to make a smooth soft dough.
2.
Turn onto a floured surface and knead for 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
3.
Shape the dough into a long oval – you could twist it along its length if desired – and place on a greased baking sheet. Cover loosely and leave to rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
4.
Preheat the oven to 220°C | 450F | gas 8.
5.
Brush the loaf with a little extra milk and scatter with poppy seeds. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden and sounds hollow when tapped.
