- 2 kilograms gherkins (all the same size)

- 1 handful parsley
- 4 carrots
- 2 Tbsps allspice
- 4 Tbsps Mustard seed
- ½ l White vinegar
- 75 grams sugar

Preparation steps

Rinse and trim the cucumbers. Thinly slice the cucumbers, sprinkle with salt, and let stand for 2 hours. Rinse the cucumbers and pat dry.

Rinse and dry the parsley. Remove the leaves and finely chop. Peel and thinly slice the carrots. Divide the parsley, carrots, allspice, and mustard seeds into the prepared, sterilized jars. Layer the cucumbers into the jars.

Bring the vinegar, 0.5 liters (approximately 0.5 quarts) of water, 2 tablespoons of salt, and 2 tablespoons of sugar to a boil. Pour the liquid over the cucumbers, making sure to cover everything. Seal tightly, and turn upside down for 10 minutes to cool. Turn right side up and cool completely.
