- For the dough
- 75 milliliters Whipped cream
- 150 grams butter
- 75 grams sugar beet syrup
- 250 grams sugar
- ½ tsp Ground cinnamon
- 1 generous pinch Cardamom
- 1 organic Orange (zested)
- 1 tsp potatoes
- 2 drops Rose oil
- 450 grams Pastry flour
- 100 grams chopped Cashews

Preparation steps

Combine the cream, butter and syrup in a saucepan and stir until smooth. Stir in the sugar, the spices, the orange peel, the baking soda (dissolved in 2 tablespoons water), the rose oil, the flour and the nuts. Transfer the dough to the work surface and knead into a smooth dough that no longer sticks to your hands. Divide into 2 portions, shaping each into a roll of approximately 3 cm (approximately 1 1/4 inch) in diameter, wrap in plastic wrap and chill for 1 hour in the refrigerator.

Preheat the oven to 180°C (approximately 350°F).

Slice the rolls into pieces about 0.5 cm (approximately 1/4 inch) thick and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for about 15 minutes. Remove from oven and let cool on a wire rack.
