1 teaspoon lemon zest
1 teaspoon Baking powder
200 grams honey
200 grams butter
370 grams Hazelnuts (ground, or almonds)

Preparation steps

Beat butter in a bowl until fluffy, add powdered sugar, egg and egg yolk. Stir in lemon zest, flour and baking powder and knead into a smooth dough.

Roll out dough on a non-greased baking sheet. Mince candied orange and lemon peel and place in a pot.

Coarsely chop pistachios and mix with ground hazelnuts and place in the pot. Add honey, butter, cream, cinnamon and cloves. Cook over medium heat until thickened. Add chopped hazelnuts, pistachios and flaked almonds fold, then remove from heat and let cool for 5 minutes.

Pour cooled mixture evenly over dough and bake in an oven preheated to 180°C (approximately 350°F) for 20-30 minutes.

Remove and let cool, then cut into 10 cm (approximately 4 inch) squares. Melt chocolate over a double boiler and dip a corner of each cookie into the chocolate. Let set on wax paper, then serve.
