Pear & Stilton Croûte

Wash, quarter lengthwise and core pears. Place the sliced bread on the barbecue or in a grill pan. Toast one side, turn over and place a slice of Stilton on the top and toast the underside. At the same time, quickly grill the quartered pears on both sides.
To serve, arrange pear pieces and arugula on each slice of toasted cheese. Season to taste with freshly milled black pepper.
