Ingredients
for
6
- For the sauce
- 1 large onion
- 2 garlic cloves
- 2 Tbsps olive oil
- 800 grams diced Tomatoes (canned)
- 1 Tbsp Tomato paste
- 1 tsp sugar
- salt
- freshly ground peppers
- 1 small chili pepper
Preparation steps
1.
For the sauce, peel onion and garlic cloves and finely chop. Heat oil in a saucepan and saute onion and garlic until soft. Add tomatoes, tomato paste and sugar and season with salt and pepper. Rinse chile pepper, remove seeds and rib, cut into fine cubes and add to the saucepan. Simmer for about 20 minutes over medium heat. Meanwhile, for the pasta, cook spaghetti in a large pot of boiling salted water.
2.
Preheat a large pasta bowl. Finely grate Parmesan. Rinse parsley, shake dry, pluck leaves and chop finely. Cut pancetta into strips. Cook spaghetti until al dente and drain. Place tomato sauce and bacon strips into the (emptied) pasta dish, cover with spaghetti and mix well. Sprinkle pasta with Parmesan and parsley and serve immediately.
