- 1 medium onion (peeled and chopped)
- 5 ⅓ cups sliced Mushrooms
- ¾ cup butter
- ½ cup all-purpose flour
- 4 cups Chicken broth
- 2 cups milk
- 2 cups half and half cream
- 1 tsp dried Basil
- ½ tsp cayenne pepper
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp peppers
- ¼ tsp garlic powder
- 4 cups chopped, leftover, cooked, mixed Vegetables (broccoli, carrots, cauliflower, zucchini, etc. )
- 2 cups cooked macaroni (shells)

Preparation steps

In a Dutch oven, set over medium heat, saute onions and mushrooms in butter until tender. Add flour; stir until blended. Gradually add broth and bring to a boil. Cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened.
