Wafer (for the pan)
Ground cinnamon (1/4 tsp)
Ground clove (1/4 tsp)
ground ginger (1/4 tsp)

Powdered sugar (for dusting)
Cinnamon (for dusting)

Preparation steps

1.

Toast the almonds and nuts in a dry skillet until golden. Cool and coarsely chop.

Cut figs and candied fruits into small cubes. Place in a bowl and stir in the nuts and spices.

Put the powdered sugar and honey in a metal bowl over a pot of simmering water. Cook the mixture over low heat, while constantly stirring, until the mixture melts and is stringy. Cool slightly.

Stir the honey mixture into the fruit and nut mixture. Stir in 2 tablespoons of flour. Line a rectangular or round pan with the wafers and coat with butter. Add the nut mixture and press into a flat layer. 

5.

Bake in a 150°C (approximately 300°F) oven for 30 minutes. Cool. Before serving, dust with powdered sugar and cinnamon.
