Preparation steps

Preheat the oven to 180°C (160° fan)|350F|gas 4.

Coat the chicken pieces in the oil and season with salt and pepper. Heat a casserole dish over a moderate heat until hot. Seal the chicken in the oil until browned all over.

Stir in the onion, garlic, and a pinch of salt, frying for 2 minutes. Add the ground spices, raisins, honey, and stock.
4.
Cover with a lid and transfer to the oven to bake for 45 minutes until the chicken is cooked through.
5.
Remove from the oven and adjust the seasoning to taste before serving.
