Blend the almonds in a food processor to a coarse powder. Tip into a large bowl.
Add the water, salt and lemon slices Cover and leave to stand for 2 hours.
Add the sugar and cinnamon stick and stir until the sugar is completely dissolved.
Strain the liquid through muslin twice.
Serve chilled with crushed ice and lime zest
