- Ingredients
- 1 day-old White roll
- 1 onion
- 1 garlic clove
- vegetable oil (for frying)
- 1 egg
- 2 Tbsps freshly chopped parsley
- 600 grams Ground meat (lamb or mixed ground meat)
- breadcrumbs
- salt
- 1 tsp Cumin (crushed)
- freshly ground peppers
Preparation steps
1.
Soak bun in slightly warm water. Peel and finely chop onion and garlic. Sauté onion and garlic in 1 tablespoon oil until translucent. Remove from heat and let cool slightly. In a bowl, combine onion and garlic with egg, parsley, bread (squeezed to remove water) and ground meat. If needed, add bread crumbs to make mixture pliable and not too soft. Season with salt, cumin and pepper. Form mixture into small rolls or meatballs. Fry meatballs in hot oil until golden- brown on all sides, 5-6 minutes.
2.
To serve, spear on toothpicks if desired.
