Preparation steps
1.
Rinse and dry melon thoroughly. Carve the peel of a melon in any pattern and decorate. Cut the upper part of the melon, about 3 cm (approximately 1 inch) from the top. Cut the bottom of the melon slightly so that it stands flat.
2.
Remove the flesh of the melon and remove the seeds. Do not hurt the shell of the melon. Weight out 100 grams (approximately 3/4 cup) of melon flesh and cut into small pieces with the other fruit. Place the fruit back into the melon shell and chill for about 10 minutes. Bring 1 liter (approximately 4 cups) of water in a saucepan to a boil. Add the sugar and let melt. Place the sugar water in a bowl and let cool. Pour as much syrup over the fruit as desired. Place the cover on the melon and serve cold.
