- 600 grams Ground meat
- 1 shallot (finely chopped)
- 1 garlic clove (finely chopped)
- 1 White roll
- breadcrumbs
- 2 eggs
- 2 Tbsps parsley (chopped)
- 1 Tbsp thyme (chopped)
- 1 Tbsp Mustard
- vegetable oil (for frying)
- salt
- peppers (from the mill)
- Tomato sauce
- 400 grams lumpy Tomatoes (dose)
- 1 garlic clove (finely chopped)
- 1 shallot (chopped)
- 1 pinch sugar
- salt
- peppers (from the mill)
- 200 milliliters Vegetable broth
- thyme (for garnish)
Preparation steps

For tomato sauce heat 2 tablespoons oil and sauté shallots and garlic in a pan. Add tomatoes and broth and simmer for about 20 minutes. Season with sugar, salt and pepper.

Soak roll in lukewarm water then squeeze.

In a pan sauté shallots and garlic in 1 tablespoon oil. Add chopped parsley and thyme to pan and let cool slightly.
Then add eggs, bread, pepper, mustard, ketchup and minced meat into a bowl with cooled garlic and parsley mixture. Add breadcrumbs until batter is firm. Season liberally with salt and pepper.

Form little meatballs and fry in hot oil on all sides until golden brown, about 10 minutes.

Mix together meatballs with tomato sauce. Serve sprinkled with thyme leaves.
