- 3 cups ground Beef
- 1 cup fresh breadcrumbs
- 1 tsp chopped thyme
- salt

- 1 Tbsp olive oil
- 2 ½ cups tomato passata
- 2 Tbsps tomato puree
- 6 cups Penne
- 1 ¼ cups Mozzarella (cubed)
- 2 Tbsps grated Parmesan

Preparation steps
1.
Heat the oven to 200°C (180° fan) 400°F gas 6. Grease 4 individual baking dishes.
2.
Mix together the beef, breadcrumbs and thyme. Season with salt and pepper and mix well. Shape into 20 small balls.
3.
Heat the oil in a large frying pan and cook the meatballs for 10 minutes until browned. Add the passata and tomato puree, cover and simmer gently for 10 minutes.
4.
Cook the penne according to the pack instructions. Drain well, toss with the sauce and meatballs and spoon into the baking dishes.
5.
Push the mozzarella cubes into the top of the pasta. Sprinkle with Parmesan and bake for 15-20 minutes until bubbling.
