12 thin stalks thin Leeks

4 slices cooked ham
30 grams butter
30 grams Pastry flour
½ l milk
1 egg yolk
peppers
Nutmeg
100 grams grated Shredded cheese

Preparation steps

1.

Trim the leeks and discard the tough green sections. Rinse under cold running water thoroughly. Cook in boiling salted water for 10 minutes. Drain.

Melt the butter in a saucepan, add flour and stir until light golden brown. Gradually stir in the milk and simmer for about 5 minutes, stirring. Remove the pan from the heat, whisk in the egg yolk and season with salt, pepper and nutmeg. Gradually whisk in the cheese. Continue stirring until completely melted.

Preheat the oven to 220°C (approximately 425°F). Grease a shallow baking dish with butter. Wrap every 3 leeks with ham and arrange in the baking dish. Pour the sauce over top and bake for 15 minutes, until golden brown.
