- 1 ½ cups fresh Mozzarella (well drained and sliced 1/3-inch thick)
- 2 large, ripe Tomatoes (rinsed; trimmed and sliced 1/3-inch thick)
- salt (to taste)
- freshly ground Black pepper (to taste)
- 4 sourdough Rolls (or baguette)
- 2 cloves garlic cloves (smashed and peeled)
- 1 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil (plus extra for drizzling)
- 1 handful mixed greens
- fresh Basil
- Italian seasoning (to taste)

Preparation steps
1.
Season the sliced mozzarella and sliced tomatoes to taste with salt and pepper.
2.
Rub the cut side of the bread with garlic and drizzle with olive oil.
3.
Layer lettuce, basil, sliced tomatoes, and mozzarella cheese on the bottom half of each roll. Sprinkle with Italian seasoning and drizzle with olive oil. Sandwich with remaining roll halves. Serve.
