- 700 grams lamb (for example, neck)
- 3 onions
- 3 carrots
- 3 Tbsps vegetable oil
- salt
- freshly ground peppers
- 400 milliliters Beef broth
- 300 milliliters Guinness
- 40 grams Pearl barley
- 250 grams starchy potatoes

Preparation steps
1.
Rinse lamb, pat dry and chop. Peel and dice onions. Peel carrot and julienne. Heat oil in wide saucepan, brown lamb in portions and remove from pan.

Fry onions and carrots in pan drippings for 2-3 minutes. Add lamb, stir in barley, season with salt and pepper, pour in broth and Guinness, cover and simmer over low heat for about 45 minutes.

Meanwhile, peel potatoes and dice finely. Add to pot and cook about 45 minutes until done. Season stew with salt and pepper. Serve stew in warmed bowls and sprinkle with parsley.
