- 2 tsps Coriander
- 1 Tbsp salt
- 150 grams Tomato paste
- 80 milliliters olive oil

Preparation steps

Rinse and trim the chilis. Slit lengthwise and remove the seeds. Pour 150 ml (approximately 5 ounces) of boiling water over the chilis and let soak for 15 minutes. Peel and chop the garlic. Finely crush the cumin and coriander in a mortar. Puree the chilis (with the soaking water), garlic, spices, salt, tomato paste, and 1 tablespoon of oil in the blender. Add enough oil to form a thick paste. Transfer to a sealable glass jar, and cover with oil.
