- 4 Hamburger bun
- 400 grams Ground beef
- 1 shallot
- 1 red onion
- 8 slices Bacon
- 2 Tomatoes
- 4 leaves Lettuce
- 1 Pickled cucumber
- 4 cuts Avocados (sprinkled with lemon juice)
- 4 Tbsps vegetable oil
- 4 tsps Mayonnaise
- 4 tsps Mustard
- 1 pinch marjoram (chiffonade)
- salt
- freshly ground peppers
- scallions (to sprinkle)

Preparation steps

Peel and finely dice the shallots. Mix into the ground beef, then add the mustard and marjoram. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Form the beef mixture into 4 patties. Heat some oil in a pan, and cook the patties for 5-6 minutes on both sides. In a separate pan, fry the bacon until crispy.

Rinse and drain the lettuce. Slice the pickles. Peel the red onion, and cut into rings. Halve the hamburger buns, and toast under a broiler if you'd like. Spread 1 teaspoon of mayonnaise on each of the hamburger buns then top with the lettuce. Place the hamburger patties on the buns, and brush with mustard. Top with the pickles, avocado, bacon, and onion. Sprinkle with the chopped chives, place the top half of the buns on the hamburgers, and serve.
