4 cups dried Penne
4 eggs
cup cream
½ cup Crème fraiche
1 ¼ cups grated Cheese (e. g. Emmental, Gouda, mozzarella)
Nutmeg (freshly grated)
3 sprigs parsley (leaves picked and roughly chopped)
1.333 cups boiled ham (diced or cut into strips)

Preparation steps

1.
Heat the oven to 180°C (160°C in a fan oven), 375°F, gas 5.
2.
Cook the penne in boiling salted water until still quite firm, then drain.
3.
Mix together the eggs, cream, crème fraîche and half of the cheese. Season with salt, ground black pepper and nutmeg. Stir in the parsley.
4.
Mix the pasta with the ham and transfer to a casserole dish. Pour over the egg and cream mixture and sprinkle the remaining cheese on top. Bake in the oven for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
