300 grams mixed Ground meat (Beef and Pork)
1 small white onion
1 garlic clove
2 Tbsps fresh Basil pesto (form a jar)
600 grams small Tomatoes (ripe, ot 500 grams of cherry tomatoes)
2 Tbsps olive oil
5 eggs
150 milliliters milk
2 Tbsps Pastry flour
salt
freshly ground peppers
freshly grated Nutmeg
Basil (for garnishing)
butter (for greasing)

Preparation steps

1.

Peel onion and garlic and chop finely. Heat oil in a pan and saute onion and garlic on low heat. Add ground beef and cook until crumbly, set aside and cool slightly.

Beat eggs and mix with milk and pesto. Add cooled ground meat, dust with flour and mix well. Season with salt, pepper and nutmeg. Butter baking dish with a little butter and spread the mixture in it. 

3.

Rinse and halve tomatoes. Arrange on meat mixture, cut side down. Bake in preheated oven at 160°C (approximately 325°F) for about 30 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from oven and garnish with basil. Serve warm.
