Grilled Sausage Skewer with Salad
Cut sausages into 4 to 5 cm (approximately 1-1/2 to 2 inch) pieces. Place 3 to 4 pieces on each skewer.
Rinse tomatoes, pat dry, cut in half, core and cut into cubes. Peel onion, cut into quarters and cut into fine strips. Rinse parsley and basil, shake dry and cut leaves into strips or chop coarsely. Squeeze lemon. Mix tomatoes with onion. Add salt, pepper, sugar, lemon juice, parsley and basil and marinate together.
Place bread slices on grill and brush with olive oil. Toast lightly. Remove, cut diagonally in half and place on a plate. Roast sausage skewers on the grill for about 5 minutes. Place a sausage skewer on each slice of bread. Add tomato salad.
