- 2 ⅔ cups cooking Apple
- 2 onions
- 1 Tbsp salt
- ⅔ cup raisins
- 2 ¼ cups brown sugar
- 1 cup apple cider vinegar
- 2 lemons (juice and zest)
- 1 tsp Coriander
- 1 tsp peppercorns
- 1 tsp allspice
- 4 cloves
- ½ Cinnamon stick
- 3 red chili peppers (deseeded)
- 2 Tbsps Mustard seed

1 Cutting board, 1 Small knife, 1 Large knife, 1 Tablespoon, 1 Wok oder große Pfanne, 1 Wooden spoon, 1 Measuring cups, 1 Pot, 1 Sieve, 1 Teaspoon
Preparation steps
1.
Rinse the tomatoes and cut out the stems. Coarsely chop.
2.
Peel and quarter the apples. Remove the cores and coarsely chop.
3.
Peel and chop the onions.
4.
Put the tomatoes, apples, onions and salt in a saucepan and slowly bring to a boil.
5.
Add the raisins, sugar, vinegar, lemon juice and zest to the tomatoes and stir until the sugar has dissolved.
6.
Put the coriander seeds, pepper corns. allspice, cloves and cinnamon in a large square of cheesecloth or muslin and bring the edges together, tied with string, to make a bag.
7.
Add the spice bag to the pan and simmer, stirring occasionally, for approximately 30 minutes until the chutney has thickened.
8.
Stir in the mustard seeds and chilli peppers.
9.
Remove the spice bag.
10.
Fill the prepared jars with the chutney and close tightly. Allow to cool. Store for at least two weeks before using. The chutney will keep for at least 3 months.
