1 pc lemons (zest)
2 Tbsps Vanilla sugar
½ Cinnamon stick
7 ozs Red wine (or black currant juice)
4 Tbsps sugar
3 ½ ozs almonds
14 ozs Greek Yogurt (0.1% fat)

Preparation steps

1.

Rinse and remove pits from cherries. In a pot, bring lemon zest, vanilla sugar, cinnamon stick and red wine to a boil. Add cherries and simmer about 5 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool. Remove lemon zest and cinnamon stick.

In a nonstick pan, cook sugar until golden-brown and caramelized. Stir in almonds until they are coated with caramel. Transfer almonds to a baking sheet and let cool.

3.

Divide cherry compote among glasses, top with yogurt and garnish with caramelized almonds.
