2 Red onions
2 garlic cloves
1 organic Lime
2 Tbsps olive oil
500 grams mixed Ground meat

300 milliliters Beef broth
1 can Kidney beans (425 ml or approximately 2 cups)
500 grams fresh Gnocchi (From the refrigerated section)
40 grams Pine nuts

Preparation steps

1.

Peel the red onion and cut into thin columns. Peel and chop the garlic. Wash the lime and pull off the rind with a vegetable peeler or a knife, then cut into fine strips. Squeeze out the lime juice.

Place the olive oil in a saucepan and fry the ground meat until crumbly and slightly browned. Season with salt and pepper. Deglaze with the beef broth and bring to a boil.

Meanwhile, drain the kidney beans in a colander.

Add the beans to the ground meat and simmer, covered, at low temperature for about 15 minutes. Add the gnocchi and simmer another 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Season with salt, pepper and lime juice. Serve in deep plates, garnished with the lime zest.
