- 2 ¼ cups sugar
- 1 tsp Cider vinegar

Preparation steps
1.
Wash and dry the apples, remove the stalks and insert a wooden stick where the stalk was.
2.
In a small saucepan, quickly bring the sugar to the boil with 5 ounces water and the vinegar and cook at a rolling boil until it turns into a golden caramel. Remove the pan from the heat immediately.
3.
One at a time, dip the apples in the caramel, turning to coat until they are completely covered in caramel. Place on baking parchment and leave to set.
